Amplifying Sustainable Fashion: The Lasting Impact of the FEA-VEE Project
Spearheading the Dissemination of European Fashion Innovation As the Bulgarian Fashion Association (BFA)—a cluster organization deeply committed to integrating the local fashion industry into the broader European value chain—we are incredibly proud to announce the successful conclusion of the Fashion Earth Alliance (FEA-VEE) project. This ambitious, 48-month ERASMUS+ initiative united 12 dedicated partners across six European countries (Greece, Spain, Bulgaria, Romania, Germany, and Sweden) with a shared mission to drive vocational excellence, policy reform, and sustainability within the fashion and textile sectors.
Operating as the designated leader for Work Package 7 (WP7) – Dissemination and Exploitation of Results, BFA was entrusted with the critical mission of maximizing the project’s visibility. Our primary focus was to ensure that the consortium’s collective innovations, digital platforms, and educational tools successfully reached a vast network of fashion professionals, academic institutions, and European enterprises. Looking back at the consolidated period reports, we are thrilled to report that our dissemination strategy not only met its baseline targets but consistently generated expanded impact.
Exceeding Targets in Digital and Media Outreach A core element of our WP7 strategy was establishing a commanding digital presence, and we are proud to have significantly over-fulfilled our key performance indicators in this area. While the baseline requirement called for a minimum of 4 monthly posts across official channels like LinkedIn, Facebook, X/Twitter, and YouTube, we maintained a highly active and vibrant digital frequency. We consistently shared comprehensive updates regarding project topics, training milestones, and sustainability efforts on both national and European levels.
Similarly, our newsletter and media campaigns reached audiences far beyond initial projections. We successfully formulated and circulated 8 biannual newsletters perfectly aligned with the project’s milestones. Distributed in both English and all partner languages, our network successfully engaged mailing lists that consistently exceeded the targeted 1,000 contacts per partner, capturing diverse organizations, SMEs, and public sector representatives. To complement this, we entirely fulfilled our media relations goals by systematically creating and distributing press releases for every major project occasion, ensuring widespread coverage across local and regional media outlets.
Visual storytelling played a pivotal role in this outreach. We seamlessly managed the production and distribution of 4 one-minute video clips, 1 comprehensive short documentary, and 8 impactful photo-ads that powerfully showcased the project’s tangible impact on sustainable fashion.
Driving Local Engagement and Sustainable Physical Dissemination Beyond the digital sphere, the FEA-VEE project thrived on direct, face-to-face engagement. The consortium successfully organized the targeted 12 Multiplier Events (one per partner country), but notably over-fulfilled the minimum attendance target of 35 direct participants per event. These dynamic, high-energy gatherings successfully integrated creative competitions, captured crucial participant feedback, and raised widespread awareness of the project’s objectives among students, educators, and industry leaders.
Even when executing our physical dissemination targets, we strictly adhered to the consortium’s sustainability ethos. Using ecologically sound, recycled materials—such as high-quality 250-gram glossy paper—we produced and distributed 120 t-shirts (10 per partner), 4,800 leaflets (400 per partner), 240 posters (20 per partner), and 12 roll-up banners (1 per partner). These assets were accurately translated and strategically deployed to ensure high physical visibility at all local and international gatherings without compromising our green principles.
Generating Expanded Impact and Cross-Project Synergies A deeper review of the project’s lifecycle reveals that our dissemination efforts expanded well beyond the initial baseline, generating unexpected, value-added activities. By leveraging BFA’s active role in parallel sustainability initiatives—such as the VERDEinMED project and the European Fashion Alliance—we achieved significant cross-dissemination. This approach allowed FEA-VEE’s digital tools, such as the Transnational Cooperation and Matchmaking Platform, to reach an extended, highly relevant audience of stakeholders dedicated to the circular economy.
Furthermore, our targeted, localized campaigns for the FEA-VEE Internship Programme resulted in higher-than-expected engagement from regional SMEs and VET providers. Our tailored messaging successfully bridged a critical gap, aligning existing educational frameworks with the labor market’s rising demand for digital and green skills.

Ensuring the Long-Term Legacy of FEA-VEE The culmination of this 48-month timeline does not mark the end of our efforts. The extensive dissemination frameworks established under WP7 have laid a resilient foundation for the future sustainability of the action. All long-term digital assets—including the matching platforms, e-learning modules, the documentary, and comprehensive policy reports—will remain actively accessible online. They will continue to serve as vital, open-source tools for upskilling emerging designers and textile engineers across the continent.
The Bulgarian Fashion Association remains entirely committed to maintaining the momentum generated by the FEA-VEE project. We will continue to champion its core principles of circular economy, resource efficiency, and sustainable innovation, actively integrating these values into our ongoing cluster partnerships, future R&D initiatives, and European collaborations for years to come.
