BFA organized a training for internationalization of sustainable fashion brands

On November 30, 2021, the Bulgarian Fashion Association conducted a training for the internationalization of sustainable fashion brands. The training was conducted online on the Zoom platform, hosted by Prof. Lyubomir Stoykov. The training was attended by representatives of 22 Bulgarian fashion brands and manufacturers. It was conducted within the project FASCINATE – Sustainable Fashion Alliance for International markets and was focused on the markets in the United States, Canada and Japan. Lecturers were Prof. Lyubomir Stoykov, Silvia Kabaivanova (Chairman of the BFA), Dean Manev (Vice Chairman of the BFA), Jivka Popatanasova, journalist at Bloomberg TV Bulgaria and Teodora Spasova, owner, designer and constructor of the fashion brand Minoar.

Lecturers and participants discussed what’s the role of sustainability and circular economy in the Japanese, American and Canadian markets, what are the tools and resources for internationalization and how to be certified as a sustainable fashion brand.
